Chipley Farm, Bickington, Newton Abbot, S. Devon TQ12 6JW,England

Chipley Farm is the home of Fred and Louisa Westcott and we have three rooms for the use of our guests.

FAMILY ROOM

This beautiful room can take up to three children and boasts a canopied four-poster bed benefitting from a Tempur mattress (highly recommended for aching backs). Milk white walls and solid oak flooring provide a relaxing, sophisticated look and the views over the garden and surrounding Devon countryside are a major attraction. Sliding glass doors open onto a private South facing terrace where you can sit under a wisteria covered pergola and enjoy the amazing views, listen to the birds, and perhaps share a drink or a light lunch.. The spacious ensuite bathroom has a large shower but no bath.

DOUBLE ROOM

Decorated in shades of green and softest apricot, this is a very pretty room and enjoys the same spectacular views as the family room. It has its own basin set into an antique pine washstand, and is furnished with pine furniture. It has a table which holds the tea tray, TV., and a collection of holiday ideas. The bathroom is shared by the double room which is adjacent and we find these two bedrooms are ideal for the family with older children or for friends holidaying.

TWIN ROOM

This room looks out onto the front garden and a beautiful white flowering magnolia tree. Wisteria blossom and spring camelias enchant and delight and there is the added bonus of a sheltered patio area full of flowers in an assortment of lovely pots.

BATHROOMS

The double and twin rooms have the use of both a conventional bathroom and a bathroom with a large shower. Please note that these rooms are not ensuite.

Louisa's artistic talents and her eye for colour and design are reflected in every room in Chipley Farmhouse. All the rooms are very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The house is decorated with stencils, flowers and paintings. Here you can unwind with a good book, watch T.V., or just enjoy the pleasure of "doing  nothing".

Alternatively, you may prefer to have a coffee and chat in our farmhouse kitchen, relax in the gardens, play with Badger, take a stroll down leafy lanes, or see our famous pillow lavas caused by volcanic activity over 360 million years ago.

For the comfort of our other guests, we would respectfully ask you not to smoke in our home
